About First Aid Training
First aid qualifications in Australia are nationally standardised under the HLT Health Training Package. Every code starting with HLTAID is a nationally recognised unit of competency, delivered by registered RTOs and valid across all Australian states and territories.
All first aid courses require face-to-face assessment — you cannot complete a first aid qualification entirely online. Some providers include optional online pre-reading before your in-person training day.
Most workplaces require at least HLTAID011 (Provide First Aid), which covers CPR, AED operation, and management of common injuries and medical emergencies.
